In this interview, we speak to Frank Vigliotti, Realtor and Co-Founder, about the benefits and challenges of entrepreneurship.
Hello Mr. Vigliotti. The Henri Frank Group has been in business since about 2006. Since then, what has been one of the biggest accomplishments for your group?
Successfully closing our biggest transaction. A 24-room hotel-motel on the beach. We were the third Listing Realtor and we succeeded at selling this property.
That is a significant accomplishment, especially considering how long you’ve been in real estate. What brought you to this line of work anyway?
I’m an entrepreneur, I have always owned my own business. I like to do a variety of things that are required to run a small business, accounting, marketing and advertising, customer service and employee management. I went to the local real estate school and used the services of the local Real Estate Association in Fort Lauderdale. They have classes and courses that you can take to expand your knowledge of the business.
What has proven to be the most difficult part of operating this business?
When you think you have business and it just doesn’t come together. We had a day where there were five closings scheduled and all five were either cancelled or rescheduled.
That sounds very frustrating. Do you believe that experiencing success in one area over another might have guided you towards this niche?
I don’t believe you find a niche, a niche finds you. One of the aspects of the real estate business is the number of services and products you can offer. Condominiums, single family homes, multi-family homes, commercial buildings and space. Beachfront homes and condominiums, properties throughout South Florida, an extensive area that includes Broward County, Miami-Dade County, and Palm Beach County.
